32 Weeks and Hibernating

I'm 32 weeks pregnant now.  I'm hoping that means I only have seven weeks to go.  (My other boys have all been at least a week early.)  I am not miserable at all but I feel like I am as big as I should possibly get.

 It's all in my shoulders.

I'm already bigger than I was when I delivered Bennett--I was artificially cute last pregnancy due to a raging case of stomach flu and a collapsed lung. I have now moved into the mumu attire.  I'd post a picture but I haven't taken one in a while.  I am currently wearing a mismatched sweatsuit (blue top, black bottoms) so I'll just let you visualize that in your mind.

We went and got a 3D ultrasound yesterday.  It was just for fun and the kids got to come along and see the baby.  Here he is!

We think (hope) that he looks like Max.  To be honest those aren't the cutest ultrasounds I've ever seen, but perhaps it's best to lower my expectations now.

My biggest pregnancy side effect right now is naps.  I think it's largely due to how cold and gray it is outside, and how it's still Christmas break here so there is not much going on.  Combine that with the pregnancy excuse and my cozy quilt I made when I was 17 (it just keeps getting softer), and you have me dead out in the most delicious winter's slumber for a good two hours each day.  I figure this is my last chance to get any sleep for a while and as far as I can tell I'm not missing out on much.

Those 3-D ultrasounds seem so much more invasive than regular ultrasounds don't they? Technology go figure.

I love him!! I think he is adorable, and yes, I do think he looks a little like Max. But a Carter boy can't go wrong. They are all so cute. Loved all that red hair!
And I saw you last week and you are beautiful! I mean it - you are waaay too hard on yourself. You really don't look very big.

You're crazy. I cannot believe you only have 4 weeks left (and by 4, I mean hopefully 3). You are tiny! And way cuter than I ever look pregnant. I'd send you a picture as proof, but I have a no cameras rule after the first trimester. As far as your laziness goes... I'm right there with you. I'm blaming it on the weather, but you should stick to pregnancy...it's a way better excuse.

Your skin looks amazing and you do not look anything like a linebacker!! I totally hibernate the last trimester...and a good chunk of the entire pregnancy, I am decidedly antisocial while pregnant. No better time to stay inside right now, you are not missing a thing except the germs floating around right now! Enjoy your cozy afternoons!

You may have been artificially small last time, but you are by no means large and linebacker-ish this time around. I forget when you're due because I can't get an accurate read from your belly.

That little red is going to be SO adorable. I can't wait. Benny, on the other hand, can wait. I'd be scared about that one if I were you!

I just saw you and there is no way you are wearing mumus. In fact I was jealous by how cute and little you and Lisa looked. I truly believe it is maternity clothes that make you feel like you are wearing a mumu. Maybe they have gotten better, but there is nothing more that I dread than maternity clothes.

Oh, he'll be a cutie! All your boys are. I'm glad you're getting some much needed sleep in. Yeah for Christmas break!
