People in my neighborhood are starting to put up their Christmas lights and it's got me thinking about Christmas gifts again. Last year I wrote this post soliciting your ideas for the best toys and gifts and it was so helpful. I was very picky last year about what I bought and I felt really good about the things my kids got. Way less junky clutter than in years past. My two favorite finds came from your suggestions last year. Both are expensive (like in the $100 range) but perpetually fun, well-made, and not junk:
Santa gave Benny the mini one for Christmas. He was only two, but he could zip around on that thing.
It was so cute it almost broke my heart. We ended up getting one for Max's birthday and we're hoping Santa brings Charlie one this year.
And for the gents--last year I think the best thing I gave Tyler was this remote control helicopter.
I got it here on Amazon--right now it's $19. I don't know if every man would like a toy like this, but Tyler loved flying that thing around the house and, unlike most remote control things, I think it's still working now a year later.
Okay, now return the favor and give me one or two ideas--it can be for kids, men, neighbors, anyone. Who doesn't love a gift idea list?!? What one gift from last year are your kids still playing with? I want to know!
